Custom Financial Pty Ltd began in 1999 when Jon Ward chose to leave a management position with ANZ Bank to start a mortgage broking business. Jon has remained servicing his clients since that time, is a proud owner of the company and is passionate about the quality of service he offers. Jon Ward
Jon has in excess of 15 years experience in Banking and Finance. He began his banking career in the early 1990’s with Westpac Banking Corporation in Melbourne. Jon worked in a variety of roles for Westpac over a period of 3.5 years including:
- City Branch Teller
- Foreign Exchange Teller at Westpac Head Office
- International Trade Consultant
Jon then “changed teams” and moved to ANZ Bank for another 3.5 years where he worked in roles such as:
- Telephone Consultant Customer Service
- Telephone Consultant Loans & Banking Products
- Team Leader Telephone Sales
- Manager ANZ Direct Home Loans
- Manager ANZ Internet Sales
In June of 1999 Jon chose to leave ANZ and continue his banking career as a mortgage broker. In July of 1999, Jon established the basis of what is now Custom Financial.
Jon has a commitment to continuous professional development and is an Accredited Mortgage Consultant with the MFAA. Jon also holds a Diploma Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Mortgage Broking). Jon is proud of the reputation he has worked hard to build over his career thus far and this business has been built almost entirely on the foundations of 'word of mouth' goodwill.
